Reviews
Fantastic brunch food.
Went with a large group (6 adults and 2 kids) for brunch.
We had to pay a £10 each deposit which was removed from the total at the end and we had to reserve directly with the manager - it is pretty standard for weekend brunches and they were really nice and quick at replying.
The restaurant is lovely, it can be busy and drafty if you sit near the door - like we were, but it didn’t bothered us. Just be aware in case you want to book for a more intimate occasion.
Food is impeccable and they give you really large portions. Coffee is excellent as well!
Seriously nice brunch and quality breakfast food venue: great for a special treat or occasion ✨
Probably best iced coffee menu/selection I've ever seen (Praline/Biscoff Latte looked amazing (served with icing/cream round the rim of glass) extremely decadent...almost like a dessert and probably ideal to share amongst 2/3 people).
I had Cheesy Mushroom Toast (Toasted Company Bakery seeded sourdough, Shropshire Blue, Cheddar & leek rarebit, truffle oil roasted field, mushrooms, free-range poached egg, walnut pesto). Truffle flavour was strong and rich, mushrooms delicious, pesto great addition.
Shakshuka, Latkes & Smoked Salmon Toast also approved.
Portion sizes great (for 2 hungry 20yr brothers).
Service was somewhat tedious towards end of meal (slow to bring bill but covers were full and it was peak time), atmosphere was busy/loud and lively. We got an hour time slot for the booking.
~£25-30/head for coffee and brunch menu each.
Would definitely make an effort to visit again If in the area.
Excellent food , original creative brunch menu.
Although quality is good a touch pricey for some of the dishes.
A solid choice all the same
I went to Edinburgh a few weeks ago and booked this place for brunch, and it was really worth the 15 minute walk from my hotel. We arrived 20 minutes late, and the waitress who greeted us was very friendly and understanding of our delay, giving us our table, even though we were already late at the busiest time. I ordered the tiramisu French toast with honeycomb on top, which was a delicious surprise for me, and a dulce de leche latte. Everything was beyond delicious, the only regret was not going back the next day to try more things from their amazing menu, in fact, the price is very affordable for Edinburgh, and I would definitely go back.
Food: over and above! Better than expected every-time. Menu changes seasonally which brings you back again and again, the dishes are creative versions of international cuisine. Brilliant mixes.
That being said, I understand they are almost always crowded and full, but they either need to bring more staff or expand space, so that the staff they have at the moment are capable of being nicer.
Too much coriander on the Shakshouka.
First time visiting today, have to say, the food was excellent. The ingredients felt fresh in my mouth and the taste was sooooo good! At first I thought it was a wee bit pricey but it was definitely worth its price!
Honeycomb is a delightful cafe that serves up delicious breakfast and lunch options. The atmosphere of this cafe is warm and welcoming with an inviting and comfortable interior.

Whether you're vegan, gluten-free, or just looking for healthy options, there's something on the menu for everyone. Their menu includes a range of breakfast and lunch dishes, including delicious sandwiches, salads, and hearty soups.
The quality of the food at Honeycomb is top-notch, with all ingredients locally sourced and freshly prepared. The portions are generous and the presentation of each dish is visually stunning.
The standout dishes for me were the avocado toast. In addition to the tasty food, the service at Honeycomb is excellent. The staff are friendly and attentive, making sure that customers are well looked after and satisfied with their meals. The café has a relaxed and laid-back vibe that makes it a perfect spot to catch up with friends or to spend a lazy Sunday morning.
Overall, Honeycomb is a fantastic cafe that offers a great selection of tasty dishes in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a quick bite to eat or a leisurely brunch, this is a great spot to check out. Highly recommended!
Lovely brunch spot. I had the sweet potato fritters which were delicious. Friendly staff, good sized portions and a nice atmosphere. I would recommend!
